Discontinuing Hardware Sales

We will be discontinuing the sale of cameras once our existing stock is depleted — likely within the next several weeks. Camera mounts and LightBurn Bridge kits are no longer in stock, and will not be made available in the future.
  • For guidance on sourcing your own camera, visit this page.
  • The STL files for printing your own camera mouns are available here. If you do not have a 3D printer, try searching for an on-demand 3D print shop — there are plenty of great options. Note: we cannot guarantee fit for third party cameras, although sizes of bare-board cameras are fairly standardized.
  • Our instructions on setting up your own LightBurn Bridge kit are available here.
We first began selling cameras to ensure that our users could source models guaranteed to be compatible with LightBurn, and help them choose a lens that could capture their laser's entire work area. As we have expanded the range of third party cameras that LightBurn is compatible with, and as more laser manufacturers have built cameras into their machines, those considerations have diminished.

Bridge kits were likewise introduced as a convenience to our users rather than a revenue driver. However, we have always provided instructions for users to set up their own kits, and the process is straightforward (you can do it, we believe in you).

In the face of new logistics burdens, increased import fees, rising component costs, and having only a single, beleaguered shipping person available to handle these responsibilities among his sundry duties*, we have decided it makes more sense to direct our users to affordable options than to continue supplying hardware directly.

As always, providing high-quality software remains the core focus of all our efforts. That means developing new features, improving existing features, creating instructional content, and providing our users with world-class support. It no longer means getting on the phone with UPS to deal with shipping problems.

We will continue to offer t-shirts, hoodies, swag packs, and other fun stuff. Please don't make us regret that by buying too much of it.
